American U-Prep was founded by three Americans living abroad, with the desire to help youth pursue their dreams of attending American Universities for a brighter future.

Our goal is to help students attain their dream of attending an American university through a tailored, personal approach that works for them. 

Our Team

​Our team brings over 30 years of experience in education, consulting, and training related services. We hold advanced degrees from some of America’s top universities as well as various professional certifications. Because we are Americans living and working in the US and abroad, we understand both sides of the Atlantic and Pacific and can help all parties navigate the university admissions process with ease.

Ryan Fischer
President, Founder

Ryan received his MBA from Wake Forest University, in Charlotte, NC, USA. Ryan has over 15 years experience in various senior consulting and corporate roles for America's top Fortune 100 companies. He is the founder and owner of Hill City Global. A project implementation and market entry firm in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

Tami Zgoda
Chief Editor, Academic Advisor 

Tami holds a Master's Degree in counseling from the University of Louisville in Louisville KY, USA; and is a licensed counselor in three states. In addition, she is a certified IEW writing instructor and has successfully helped two of her children gain acceptance into top undergraduate universities in the United States. Tami has over 15 years of experience in teaching and consulting and over 25 years experience as a private counselor. 

Stacey Fischer
​​Proofreader, Coach 

Stacey is a graduate of the State University of New York. in Saratoga Springs, NY, USA. She is the owner of SF Translation Editing in Sofia, Bulgaria and a former ESL teacher.

Mason Zgoda
Proofreader, Writing Instructor, Coach

​Mason Zgoda is a graduate of The Master’s University in California, USA. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Political Theory at Claremont University. She teaches English literature, writing and is a distinguished musician in Nashville, TN.
